And to answer the question, I do have a kind of homework that my clients are supposed to do before they come to my studio for their design meeting. Some do it, some do not. It's on my tired, elderly website. I'll privately send you a link, and if it interests you, you can check it out.Marsha Wiest-Hineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15481754729084714643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1441330391138715694.post-84599755304042655132016-04-01T16:03:37.643-07:002016-04-01T16:03:37.643-07:00Thank you Marsha :) I agree, designing for clients...Thank you Marsha :) I agree, designing for clients is very much designing to a theme, I find in those cases it much easier to do, when you know them at least a little - I've never made something for a complete stranger though...I imagine that to be really difficult. When I did interior design work, I used to get my clients to fill out an extensive questionnaire about the way they used their home, their colour and style preferences...would it be appropriate to do that for jewellery design I wonder? I have learned and great deal by designing to themes, and I am very much in favor. I do it both when I design for my clients (they being the "theme" or however it is they wish to appear) and as a member of Etsy Beadweavers. It is an opportunity to stretch myself and try things I would not ordinarily. I am all in favor, and obviously, you are more than equal to the task yourself. <br />Marsha Wiest-Hineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15481754729084714643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1441330391138715694.post-11634634631498886972016-03-31T03:01:37.871-07:002016-03-31T03:01:37.871-07:00Congratulations. And, we haven't seen the last of you yet by a long shot. Wendy Hattonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14289175477603500092noreply@blogger.com
